Bosque Eterno de los Ninos and horseback riding

The Bosque Eterno de los Ninos is a huge area of land that belongs to a non-profit organization basically created by children.  It was by far my absolute favorite of my hikes.  We saw capuchins, birds, agoutis, etc.  We didn't get to see any sloths or pizote  but the scenery made up for it.  There were times we were hiking through fog.

Turn here to get to the entrance.

I found out that you shouldn't grab one of these seed pods...They may look fuzzy.  It is like grabbing the tiny spines on a prickly pear cactus.

I loved the shelf fungus and the spider burrow together

We kept hearing this really loud bird and we couldn't figure out what it was at first...then, we couldn't find it.

Where is that sound coming from!
And then, I found him....the three-wattled Bellbird!
The elusive Bellbird!
A very cool looking bird...that kept messing with me

Ellen!  Ellen!.....Steve!.....Ellen!
It was my favorite.

HORSEBACK RIDING:
We did a 3 hour horse back riding trip with Davis, our guide.  It was cool because it was just Kristin and I on the tour.  We stopped at a cafe half way through to have some coffee.  My horses name was Whiskey....and he was a very smart horse...apparently if you don't know how to ride very well, he pretends he can't walk quickly and falls behind....a lot.  We came to an agreement very early on.
